A 12-hour blended programme for people preparing to carry first aid and emergency-response responsibility: six hours online, followed by six hours of instructor-led psychomotor practice and competency assessment.

Phase 1: Online Instruction

6.0 Online Hours

Modules 1–12 provide six hours of online instruction across core first aid principles, emergency recognition, immediate response, and essential protocols.

MOD 01 · 0.5 hrs
Module 1: Introduction to First Aid
Introduces the first responder's role, scene safety, consent, legal considerations, personal protective equipment, and the chain of survival.
MOD 02 · 0.5 hrs
Module 2: Assessing the Situation
Develops a structured approach to scene safety, hazard recognition, responsiveness checks, and activation of emergency medical services.
MOD 03 · 1.25 hrs
Module 3: CPR Essentials
Covers adult, child, and infant CPR, chest-compression and ventilation fundamentals, barrier devices, and integration of an AED.
MOD 04 · 0.5 hrs
Module 4: Choking
Teaches recognition of mild and severe airway obstruction and appropriate first aid responses for responsive and unresponsive people.
MOD 05 · 0.5 hrs
Module 5: Medical Emergencies
Builds recognition and initial-response skills for respiratory, cardiac, diabetic, seizure, and stroke emergencies.
MOD 06 · 0.5 hrs
Module 6: Injury Management and Bleeding Control
Covers injury assessment, severe bleeding control, wound packing, pressure bandages, tourniquet use, and recognition of shock.
MOD 07 · 0.25 hrs
Module 7: Musculoskeletal Injuries
Introduces recognition and initial care of sprains, strains, fractures, and dislocations, including immobilization and basic splinting principles.
MOD 08 · 0.5 hrs
Module 8: Environmental Emergencies
Covers recognition and immediate care for heat- and cold-related emergencies, including cooling, warming, and monitoring for deterioration.
MOD 09 · 0.5 hrs
Module 9: Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis
Teaches recognition of allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, monitoring for airway or circulatory compromise, and assisting with a prescribed epinephrine auto-injector.
MOD 10 · 0.25 hrs
Module 10: AED Use
Introduces safe AED operation, adult and pediatric pad placement, safety checks before rhythm analysis and shock delivery, and coordination with ongoing CPR.
MOD 11 · 0.5 hrs
Module 11: Poisoning and Overdose
Covers recognition and initial response for poisoning and overdose, including scene safety, exposure information, supportive care, and naloxone awareness.
MOD 12 · 0.25 hrs
Module 12: Bites and Stings
Covers recognition and first aid for insect stings, marine stings, and animal bites, including monitoring for severe reactions and seeking appropriate help.
